Whether this is your first headshot session or your tenth, we always begin with a chat to find out more about you. Knowing how and where you’re going to use your headshots helps us craft the perfect images for you.
We also talk through the process, discuss clothing options, background options and also find out if you need wider crops – such as mid-length photos, full-length or seated options.
The shoot!
Then comes the fun part – the shoot itself. I’ll create the best possible lighting for you, and then we’ll work together to create literally hundreds of image options.
Don’t worry if you are nervous, or feel like you don’t know what to do. I’ll be directing and coaching you through the entire process.
There are some really simple tips and techniques when it comes to being photographed. You will be looking confident, professional and warm within minutes… and I promise I’ll never ask you to “SMILE”!
Reviewing your headshots
Using specialist software, we are able to review your headshots in real time as we go through the shoot. We’ll take regular breaks to look at everything on a large screen.
I’ll be able to show you what’s working best in terms of expression and pose, and you’ll get a huge confidence boost when you see just how good you look in the photos!
We repeat this process with each clothing or background change, and we start to make a note of the photos you like the most.
Choose your favourites
Once we’ve gone through all the clothing options you brought, and have created a good wide range of images for you to choose from, we come back to the computer and review everything in a gallery.
I’ve developed a fun process to narrow down your final choices. We’ll compare your favourites side by side and I’ll help you to choose the very best of the best as your final choices.
Professional Editing and Retouching
Before you receive your chosen images, they’re professionally edited.
Any temporary skin blemishes are removed. Flyaway hairs are removed. Creased clothing is magically smoothed out… and if you’re wearing glasses, any reflections are removed.
The goal or the retouching process is not to change how you look, but rather to make sure you are presented authentically in the best possible light.
Delivery of your new Headshots
As soon as the editing process is complete, you’ll receive your new headshots by email…. within just 2 working days, regardless of how many images you choose to buy.
They’ll be delivered in a range of digital formats, so they’re ready to be used right away on LinkedIn, your website or anywhere else you need to use them.
